Commentary
My office is located just a block away from Times Square, so when the news came that Senator Barack Obama would be our next president, I didn't even have to turn on a radio or TV to know about it. From my window on the fifth floor � it's an old-fashioned building with windows that open � you could hear the cheer of the crowd rising through the air and cars honking their horns; it was like New Year's Eve. I happened to have a chat line open to our office in China so, in the journalistic spirit, I announced: "We have a new president, have you heard?" The reply:"What? (pause) Obama?" "Yes, that's right!" "Cool. I like him too. At least I do now." Looks like we finally got it right this time.
